Pickathon

Pickathon is a little music festival just outside of Portland that has been a family to me for nearly 20 years. I owe a lot to Pickathon from meeting my wife there, making endless friends, and being part of an amazing photo crew capturing all of the magic the festival creates each and every year.

Beyond that, I’ve had the pleasure of shooting, hanging, and becoming friends with so many wonderful musicians. From meeting Billy Strings backstage in 2015 and realizing our parents knew each other then taking a photo that he today has hanging above his bedroom headboard. To then meeting Langhorne Slim and then later being the minister in his ex’s wedding. It’s hard to believe the times with all the artists from Khruangbin, The Flaming Lips, Neko Case, Phil Lesh, Thee Oh Sees, Tyler Childers, Shakey Graves, Mac Demarco, Robyn Hitchcock, Vincent Neil Emerson, The Viagra Boys, Leon Bridges, and the list goes on forever. And, for this little festival, I lay my hat down to. I digress…
